Endometriosis, hypnosis, massages, hope

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease in which tissue similar to the uterine lining, called the endometrium, develops outside the uterus. It is this tissue that is evacuated during menstruation. In endometriosis, this tissue can lodge in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, intestines, other pelvic organs and even in the diaphragm or lungs. In any case, they settle in the wrong place...

What are the most common symptoms?

  • Dysmenorrhea: Pain during menstruation, often incapacitating

  • Dyspareunia: Pain during sexual intercourse

  • Pelvic and lumbar pain

  • Urinary and digestive disorders : Burning, frequent urination, pain during bowel movements, bloating

  • Infertility

It's a complex, multifactorial disease, often difficult to diagnose and treat. Sometimes the pain disappears after the first pregnancy.

Treatments offered by gynecologists specializing in this disease include :

  • Hormonal treatments that block ovulation

  • Change of diet (as with any inflammatory disease)

  • Surgery is less and less common

  • Physical therapy and osteopathy

  • Stress management: a sine qua non for successful treatment. In fact, stress is the trigger for all types of inflammatory disease.

  • Emotional regulation: dealing with violence and/or sexual trauma

  • Gentle massage (effleurage) of the abdomen and simultaneous heart coherence (breathing techniques).

More than 20 years ago, after several years of medical wandering, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Given the size of the lesions, I underwent surgery which left me with a scar similar to that of a Caesarean section. I then underwent hormonal treatment to block ovulation and put my ovaries to rest. Following this treatment, I was "ordered" to get pregnant immediately (or never!). All women who are currently in this situation of "succeeding in getting pregnant" know and understand the stress induced by this injunction.

After spending many long months doing everything I could to get pregnant, I moved to South America and finally gave up, accepting that my body was opposed to my desire for motherhood. My partner and I considered adoption, as we wanted more than anything to become parents. So I gave up, let go and concentrated on other projects. A few months later, the miracle happened. I was pregnant! I nurtured this little girl like a treasure, and my pregnancy and delivery went perfectly.

Then I realized that it wasn't my body that was standing in the way of my desire for motherhood, it was the stress and pressure blocking my head and body. This tense, stressed body wasn't welcoming; it became so when I freed myself.

That's why today I'd like to share this success story with you, to give you hope, and to offer you support through hypnosis and massage, to help your body and head feel better, relieve your endometriosis pain and, why not, prepare you to become a stress-free mother. No need to change your life and move to South America!
